The EM-ACE project (Promoting Erasmus Mundus towards European Students: Activate,
Communicate, Engage) – funded by the Erasmus Mundus Action 3 programme – is
proud to announce a call for expressions of interest open to all EU
and EEA/EFTA higher education institutions with the purpose of bringing the
Erasmus Mundus opportunites closer to European students.
The goal of the Promotion & Training Events organized by EM-ACE is
to select 10 European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) interested in
hosting EM promotional sessions between November
and December 2013. The EM-ACE
project will contribute to the event with speakers’ inputs as well as a small financial
contribution to support the events’ organization:
The top 5 selected HEIs will benefit from:
- a lump-sum
contribution of 300 EUR to organize an EM promotional session, ensuring a
participation of at least 50 students.
- the presence of
two members of the EM-ACE project team who will present and promote the programme
in a clear, comprehensive, and convincing way. One of these will be an EM
Ambassador (an EM student or alumni). He/she will deliver training on how to
prepare a successful EM application, providing concrete examples, tips and
suggestions based on his/her own experience;
- the presence of
a speaker, representing either an institutional stakeholder or the industry,
who will bring his/her experience with EM from different perspectives (i.e.
institutional marketing; recognition of joint degrees etc.; employability of EM
graduates, etc.; new Erasmus+ programme, etc.);
- the EM-ACE project’s
promotional material (at no extra cost).
Each selected HEI, in turn, will commit itself to:
- taking care of
the practical organization of the event, to be held in November or December
2013, ensuring wide dissemination at institutional and regional level prior and
after the event;
- inviting a
local speaker. The speaker should possibly represent (a) the national NARIC
centre or any other centre in charge of the recognition of diplomas; (b) a company/organization
which has previously recruited EM students; (c) the Erasmus Mundus National
- hosting the EM
marketing review (a marketing assessment tool is currently being developed by
the EM-ACE team) and including giving
interviews to project staff;
- preparing and
submitting a short report after the event.
HEIs ranked 6-10 in the short-list of the hosting institutions will
benefit from a lump-sum contribution of 150 EUR for the organization of a
promotional event at their respective HEI. They will have to submit an event
report that will be published on the project website. Neither EM-ACE project
staff, nor international speakers will, however, participate in those events.
